Portraits by Frédéric Huijbregts

Frédéric Huijbregts was a Dutch photographer who lived and worked in Paris. He collaborated on projects with Sebastião Salgado, Willy Ronis and Philippe Sollers. Born in Suresnes in 1956, he died in 2012.

Here are some of my favourites of his portraits.

Françoise Sagan by Frédéric Huijbregts, 1987

Desmond Morris; a fabulous portrait of the author of The Naked Ape by Frédéric Huijbregts.

Bernard-Henri Lévy by
Frédéric Huijbregts, 1987.

Karl Lagerfeld by Frédéric Huijbregts, 1985.

Juliet Man Ray by Frédéric Huijbregts, 1980s. A wonderful portrait of the dancer and model who became Man Ray's muse and wife.

Charles Dutoit by Frédéric Huijbregts.

Kate Barry by Frédéric Huijbregts, 1987.

In 2011 Frédéric Huijbregts had an exhibition of Serge Gainsbourg portraits at Sotheby's. This is my favourite.

Paul Bocuse by Frédéric Huijbregts, 1987.

Sergio Leone by Frédéric Huijbregts.
